The second Gustaf Molander film to feature a script from Ingmar Bergman, this is a gripping drama about a young man haunted by guilt about causing a childhood death. After moving to a remote island with his wife, he is troubled with nightmares in which he is a killer of those close to him. He is forced to confront his fears one stormy night when he has to row his pregnant wife to the mainland.
